I wanted to capture a wild fox being silly. If you have a love of animals you'll find a lot of joy in this painting. I chose to keep the background plain to keep the fox sticking his tongue out and his crossed eyes the focal point. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eMy process for this included studying a lot of foxes and various reference photos to create the sketch for this painting. After I sketched it out, I did a value study in Copic markers before applying my underpainting wash.  I decided to keep some of the sketch lines visible as I painted this time. I liked how it added an illustrative look to the fox.
