There is a great local trail that I frequent with my dog. Though it doesn't have mountains, it was a great inspiration for this painting.  I often wonder who has walked the trail before me, and this particular walk I was thinking about Halloween and ghosts. I was watching the trees start to change color and could feel a chill in the air.  \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAs usual, I started with a pencil sketch and built it up with markers before applying my underpainting wash. I wanted to be loose with this painting especially with the grass along the dirt trail.
